Is My Child Ready for Hooptown?
Hooptown welcomes campers entering Grades 2–10 who are excited to play basketball, build skills, and have fun in a high-energy, structured environment. Not sure if it’s the right fit? Here are somehelpful indicators:
■ Shows an interest in basketball
Your child doesn’t need to be an expert—but they should enjoy playing and be excited about spending most of the day on the court.
■ Comfortable with an active, structured day
Camp runs from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, with games, drills, competitions, and movement all day long.
■ Okay with a lively environment
Expect whistles, music, cheering, and lots of bouncing basketballs—it’s part of the Hooptown vibe!
■ Independent and able to follow directions
Campers should be able to manage their own gear, follow instructions from coaches, and rotate between stations independently.
■ Ready for a team environment
Teamwork is at the core of Hooptown. We focus on sportsmanship, sharing the ball, and learning how to support teammates.
■ Can complete a full camp day without a parent
